Main research fields: Main research areas: engaging in Quaternary geology and environmental research work. He has successively directed and participated in more than ten projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the China Geological Survey and the National Stratigraphic Committee. In recent years, he mainly deals with environmental information of Quaternary stratigraphy and sedimentology, lake sediment and Quaternary environmental evolution and eolian deposits in northern China, studies on the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau and Cenozoic sedimentary tectonic evolution.
